01 / IAC
At the heart of everyone’s game even if they know it or not is IAC. Table intelligence, table ability, and table consistency or simple IAC. Do you know what to do, can you do it, and how often do you do it right? Answering this helps improve your overall match performance over time. Rack IQ aims to focus on that and provide you with the information you need to master these three key principles with easy to read and understand stats.
02 / Shot types
The Break is one of the most important shots in the game. Those who master this will control the flow of the game. Bank shots can certainly get you out of trouble. Position control is key to running a rack out by placing the cueball within the shot line. Also be on the right side of the shot line is critical. Combo shots can help you end a 9-ball rack early or help you break out a cluster of balls on a bar box table. When your opponent plays a monster defense shot, the Kick shot will often get you out of a jam. In fact, it can be used to return with a defense of your own. Another tool is the jump shot. It can short cut your way out of a defensive hook by your opponent. Defense Shots often are the most overlooked shot for most amateur players. The pros exercise this shot type in every match. A way to control an undesired outcome on the table to try and get the control back. This shot type is key to winning high level matches.
03 / The soup you choose
The most popular game in pocket billiards globally is definitely 8 ball. More people play this game format than any other globally. The most important shot is that first shot after the break. You won the lag or coin toss. You broke and made a ball. Now what do you do? The soup you choose is that age old question since pocket billiards began. Do I shoot stripes or solids? Well, where are my problems at? Is there any cluster of balls? Where are my low percentage shots at? Then what are my strengths in my game? Rack IQ aims to tell you exactly what your strengths are. If you rate high on combo and carrom shots, then a cluster of balls might not concern you as much. If your first shot to open things up with stripes starts with a bank shot and you rate low with those then perhaps you might choose the solids. Knowing which shot to take based on direct factual information about your game is key to running racks and winning matches.

06
The question of who a pro in the men’s side in pocket billiards is. In the men’s side this is especially troubling. There isn’t a global men’s pro tour. Nor is there a defined process on how to go pro for men. Rack IQ aims to answer that problem.

Rack IQ streams through the accounts players already have — YouTube and Twitch — so going live costs nothing.
